Special Regulations for the Evaluation of Youth Developing Exhibit at New Zealand National Exhibitions

Note: Youth Developing Exhibit is not a recognized FIP class. An award won for a youth developing exhibit judged under the following national regulations will not qualify for entry in an FIP exhibition.

1.Objectives
The objective of this class is to provide an opportunity for Youth collectors who are no longer eligible to enter the Youth Development class to develop their exhibit or to create a new exhibit which has yet to achieve the minimum number of frames required in the FIP Youth class.
2. Exhibits
2.1 Age

  • Age Class B. age 16 – 18 years – 16 pages, and
  • Age Class C. age 19 – 21 years – 16 or 32 pages.

”Age” is taken as the person’s age at 1 January in the year of competition.

2.2 All normal classes are included in both age sections.

3. Judging criteria
For the evaluation of youth exhibits concerning Traditional Philately, Postal History, Postal Stationery, Aerophilately, Astrophilately and Revenue, the following points will be allocated for the criteria in the various Age Classes of the Youth Class:

For the evaluation of exhibits concerning Thematic Philately, Open Philately and Maximaphily, the following points will be allocated for criteria mentioned in the various Age Classes of the Youth Class:

4. Presentations
Every exhibitor will be given:

  1. a certificate showing the Award level achieved, and
  2. a “fair copy” of the judging sheet; and
  3. a medal.
