Meetings

Hutt City Baptist, 148 High Street, Lower Hutt 1st Tuesday monthly (except January) 7:30pm.

Please note the society has been asked to leave this venue after their March 2022 meeting.  As yet (12 February) they have not established a new meeting venue and cannot confirm what day/evening of the month(s) they will be meeting.  The following evening programme is therefore subject to change.

Juniors meet Maungaraki Community Centre, 135 Dowse Drive, Maungarakai 2nd Saturday monthly at 1:00pm.

Calendar of events

The programme is subject to the impact of Covid on the availability of the speaker/s and attendance will be subject to whatever restrictions the society/club must apply.  If you plan visiting, please contact the society/club prior to attending to determine any programme changes and conditions of attendance that might apply.

Club activities and services

The Hutt Valley Philatelic Society provides a friendly environment to expand your collection and philatelic knowledge by:

  • regular interesting guest speakers at meetings;
  • extensive philatelic knowledge base through its membership;
  • stamp circuit system to buy and sell stamps (*);
  • two major stamp auctions per year;
  • regular mini sales of philatelic material at each meeting;
  • an active junior club;
  • one of the largest attended society meetings in the country.

(*) circuit distribution limited to within New Zealand only. Overseas members may, however, sell their material.

Subscriptions

Ordinary member $NZ38.00
Country member $NZ33.00 (members outside Wellington white pages telephone area)
Junior $NZ13.00 (provides newsletter, facilities, and general support) plus a junior fee, set by the junior club leaders, to cover general activity expenses.
Overseas Country rate plus airmail postage rate for newsletters
