During meetings
Members may be allowed by the club to buy and sell stamps between themselves at club meetings but there are a number of controlled ways trading can take place which can benefit both the members and the club – sales tables and mini-bid sales are described here.
Auction night
A full evening event for a meeting, an auction provides a greater opportunity for members to buy and sell and a small income (from commissions) is possible for the club.
Mail auction
A mail auction requires more organisation for the club but enables those members who are not able to attend meetings to purchase material.
Circuits
A Circuit comprises material made up into booklets by members who wish to sell surplus material. A number of booklets are assembled and forwarded to a circuit member who views the material in their own home. This particularly appeals to people who may not be able to attend meetings or obtain the type of material on offer any other way.
